Timothy White, chancellor of the 23-campus California State University system, announced Tuesday that Cal State schools will offer nearly all instruction online for the fall term, given the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Shortly after White’s declaration, San Francisco State President Lynn Mahoney sent an email to the campus community confirming the school will continue with “predominantly remote instruction” through the fall semester. “I know many universities are waiting until mid-June to make announcements about fall,” Mahoney wrote in her email. “But I have heard from too many people anxious to plan for fall to delay making a decision.
